Rolland Berry is an American contemporary artist known for his unique color palette and figurative work. Since the late 1990’s, Rolland has been exploring color and mixed media in urban environments and in his Los Angeles studio. His signature style features silk-screening, complex layering, and a powerful range of colors. To achieve intricate, emotionally-driven palettes, Rolland paints with brushes, mops, inks, spray cans and oils.
He studied at Pasadena Art Center and Otis Parsons through scholarships in Fine Art. While attending art school, Rolland found the streets more interesting than academics. He is an awarded Professor of Modern Art who has built his identity through art, fashion, design and teaching.
His works are included in the collections of: Swizz Beats “The Dean Collection”, Urban Nation Museum Germany and Xian Museum of Modern Art in China. Rolland’s celebrity clientele includes Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello, along with Billy Idol and Juliette Lewis. In his early career as a commercial artist, Rolland collaborated with Levi’s, Adidas, Reebok, Barneys of NY and many other numerous private clients.
